...apple cider syrup... pg. 69

This is DELICIOUS! Seriously. We had breakfast for dinner (one of my favs), so I thought I'd spice it up a little... no pun intended! :)
My only complaint is that it's REALLY runny. It was like the consistency of juice. I don't know if it was something I did, or if that's the way it's supposed to be. I just had to warn everyone before they poured it, to pour slow. Other than that, it was really good.

Yummy yumm. Perfect little dessert! I made these for dessert after my sister's bachelorette party on saturday night. And they were a hit! I made homemade cookie dough, and stuck them in the ramekins, then put them in the fridge. When we were on our way home from the festivities of the night, I called my mom and had her pop them in the oven. I didn't put as much cookie dough as "Our Best Bites" did. In the cookbook, it doesn't tell you how much dough to put in them. And I was afraid the edges would come out burnt, and the middle would be doughy.... Either way, mine turned out great! And they were so easy!

...guiltless alfredo sauce... pg.158

You can find this recipe HERE

This is really good. I never make alfredo sauce. Never. It's just not very good for you. But I guess I feel better knowing that you use fat free everything in this recipe! And I'm not one to ever CHOOSE low-fat/fat-free anything either. It's pretty much like taking the flavor out of it. But with all the garlic, it really makes this so flavorful!

This picture was taken with my phone, so it's not so fabulous... but you get the drift! I served this with whole-wheat linguine noodles, oven-roasted broccoli, caesar salad, and garlic bread! Fantastic dinner, if I say-so-myself!

This recipe definitely goes into my "cook again" collection!

...apple cider spice doughnuts...

You can find the recipe HERE

This isn't from their cookbook, but I couldn't resist. In fact, I started a new family tradition this year! Apple cider, and these doughnuts after trick-or-treating!! I CAN NOT believe THIS is the ONLY picture I took while making these doughnuts! So, sorry about that one! :)

Anyway, these doughnuts are terrific! So tasty.... In fact, they make a lot... so not to tempt me from my "diet", I took some over to my friend's house. So she can eat them, not me! :) The doughnut holes were so yummy too. Almost my favorite. And I can't wait for next year to do it all over again for Halloween!

First of all, you don't need as big of pot as they say you need! :) I ended up doubling the recipe, just to somewhat fill up the pot!

This smells sooooo amazing while it simmers! I think I just want to make this weekly just to have the house smell yummy! And this is definitely an amazing recipe! I topped it with their sweetened whipped cream. Although, I really just did it for the picture... this stuff doesn't need anything added, it's so good all by itself! And this was so yummy right after getting home from trick-or-treating!

This is super easy, and really yummy to add to corn bread or just regular rolls. If you're a sugar-holic like me... you'll definitely appreciate this! :)

...corn bread... pg.43

For dinner on Halloween, I made a big pot of chili. So I definitely needed corn bread to go with it. This recipe is SUPER simple. There's no thinking involved what-so-ever. So if you need corn bread in a flash, this is definitely it...

...however........... I wasn't really thrilled with them. I try not to cook out of a box, as much as I can. And knowing this whole thing was made out of three boxes, was a little disappointing. They were more sweet, then I was expecting. I like my corn bread, really 'corn' tasting. But again, if you need something quick and easy, try em!
